Product Description

From protecting against blisters to strapping joints, Coloured Zinc Oxide is a favourite in the taping and sporting world. Used in a wide range of sports, it is one of those tapes that does ‘exactly what it says on the tin’. A strong, adhesive tape it does not stretch, physiotherapists use this to stabilise and support joints and muscles. This is done straight after injury or whilst in recovery. It is most often applied to hands, knees, ankles and shoulders. Becoming such a favourite it is also used in more practical way such as holding up socks and taping in rugby for lifting blocks or around the head and ears for protection in scrums.

I bought this as I have been taping my feet due to chronic injury for months now and was bored with the same colour (tan) tape. This is similar; rigid tape with no stretch which does the job. It is not as thick as the premium tan tape I am used to using but it is cheaper. The adhesive is not as strong either which means that you may have to apply it more often (or use more layers) but this could be an advantage if you are concerned about skin irritation as it is easier to remove. I will also use it in situations where I don’t need such robust support e.g. overnight or at home when I don’t have to do much walking. I have found that, when leaving tape on for a few days, it does tend to feel less supportive as even the strongest tape seems to give a little bit. This being the case perhaps, for some situations, re-taping more frequently so it’s nice and tight is better? Definitely recommend this product. The colours are great!
